See that you have the honour to present, for submission to the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, an application for extension of leave of absence, from appointment of First Police Magistrate of Hong Kong, for three months from the 13th day of June next, that date being the expiration of the leave of twelve months granted by Her Majesty's Government.
I beg to enclose the usual Certificate upon which leave of absence was originally granted.
